T.L. Osborn Coming to Nuevo Laredo

World Missionary and Evangelist T.L. Osborn is joining Victorious Christian Harvesters and the International Harvesters Institute for a special week of impartation.  This event is free and open to the public.  We invite you to come and be a part of this special event!

IHI CONSTRUCTION

From March 21-27th, Trinity Assembly Church from Decaturville, Tennessee brought a team to remodel the Youth Extreme second floor and put up the ceiling in the IHI sanctuary. This team of 14 men were dynamos. One team member, Thomas, celebrated his 76th birthday Mexican style for the first time in his life! Pastor Keith Kirk and Youth Pastor Scottie Adams taught the IHI students on Thursday as guest speakers.

Reaching the “boarders” for Christ

Rebecca Blanchard held a Laredo Youth Net outreach called Laredo “Skate Fest 09”. Nearly 400 youth attended this all day event  A team of expert skaters called “Boarders for Christ” came together drawing in many young skaters and kids from the community. They came out on the local news and made headline news on the front page of the Laredo Morning Times! Altogether 70 plus teenagers made first time commitments to Christ. Praise The Lord!

8th Graders in Laredo

The 8th graders from the Tulsa Victory Christian Center school came in force with 55 leaders & students during spring break to minister in Laredo, Texas. They were at 23 different ministry sites, ministering to 1,802 people in the parks, flea markets, subdivisions and the mall. They saw 211 people make genuine commitments to Christ and 14 testified of healings as God touched their bodies through prayer! Bob Gabelman and Kaye Kohler led the teams with the help of Joshua Haver. Glory to God!

NUEVO LAREDO BLITZED

In the midst of recent “Mexico News,” 63 5th-7th graders and team leaders from the Antioch Church in Kansas City, Kansas stayed at the IHI Bible school March 14-19. This team of youngsters ministered in schools and churches. Altogether over 3,000 heard the gospel. They saw 800 youth and children make salvations commitments to the Christ. Elton Wells, the children’s pastor, led the team with Joe and Brenda Gregory of Crusaders for Christ. All were very safe and no violence was even seen in the city. Someone said “Where’s all the action at?” Most of it is happening in Tijuana, Nogales, and Juarez on the western side of Mexico.

Monterrey Ministry

The International Harvesters Institute students and the NET team went to Monterrey with Marlana and Alma de Leon from Mexico City during spring break. They witnessed to 5,737 adults & youth and 392 children. They performed dramas in schools telling students to say “No” to drugs, alcohol, violence and immorality. They encouraged these young people to say “Yes” to the good things and to God. Altogether 527 people gave their lives to Jesus Christ. Alleluia! They also worked with the Castillo del Rey Church in neighborhood evangelism.

Roof Construction

On February 26-27, the Foundations of Life Church brought a construction team down from Waxahachie, Texas. In one day 13 men constructed the 2nd story roof on Luis Alvarado’s house. He is a teacher at the IHI and is very grateful for the blessing he and his family received. Luis lost his wife in March of 2007. Pastor Edwin Lipsey led this team and were a tremendous blessing in Nuevo Laredo. Luis’ son Joshea said, “ Look dad, we finally have a roof – it’s a miracle!” We praise God for this labor of love.

Pastors/Leaders Conference

March 2 & 3, Pastor John Kilpatrick held a Pastors and Leaders Conference in the Nuevo Laredo Civic Center and many were blessed. He ministered on Tuesday morning at the IHI to the Pastors, their leaders, and to the IHI students in a special seminar. God used Pastor John to teach spiritual truths in a very timely and dynamic way. He prayed over each pastor and student. David translated during the sessions.

 John’s messages of “cleaning out your house, life and church so that the glory of God can flow” was received by over 600 people.

Mazatlan Mission Trip Report

The VCH missionaries and the Mexico National Evangelism Team (graduates from the IHI) ministered in Mazatlan, Sinaloa at the Mardi Gras Carnival. They went to the fiestas and streets in the middle of the lost, worldly, pagan people and witnessed one-on-one to over 3,099 empty and needy men, women, and teenagers. There were 2,403 salvation professions of faith through their bold and persistent preaching. Missionaries Bob, Marlana, Rebecca and Joshua were on the team along with our NET team and leaders, Diego and Judith. Praise God souls were saved in the middle of the Mardi Gras in Mexico!

Bob taught the School of Evangelism at the YWAM base one week before so their students were also prepared to join our team for the outreach.
