VCH Praise Report for 2008

Dear Harvest Partner,

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly beyond all that we ask or think according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20

What an awesome year of ministry we had in 2008.  God was exceedingly moving in us, abundantly doing great and mighty things with and through us to accomplish His perfect will for His glory and honor.   The following is a quick review of just a few of the highlights that took place throughout the year due to the involvement of VCH’s faithful partners:

We are excited to share with you that in 2008, VCH saw 38,380 salvation professions of faith and distributed 21,364 Bibles and New Testaments to new believers!

We worked on the following construction projects in 2008: Tampochocho Church, Children’s Feeding Center, IHI Prayer Garden, Land that was donated in Cruzadia de San Juan, El Salvador and a church basement and bathrooms Dulce Nombre de Maria, El Salvador.

In June, we asked you to help us purchase flip flops for those in El Salvador with no shoes.  In July, we gave out 1,400 pairs of flip flops with two mission teams.

In September, a missions team from Uvalde, TX donated funds to purchase 250 new pairs of shoes for children in Nuevo Laredo.

Last year we distributed 52,659 Lbs. of rice and beans during our weekly outreaches, mission trips and crusades.

In 2008 we held one of our largest Christmas gift distribution services that we have ever had, distributing 2,330 gifts to children and seeing 369 salvation professions of faith.

In May, together with the In Missions Training team from Tulsa, OK, we held six nights of crusades in the Huasteca region seeing 517 salvation professions of faith and 286 testimonies of healing. 

During our medical mission trip in November, we treated 998 patients and gave away $2,736 (wholesale value) of medication. 

Friends, all of the victories, battles and glory of 2008 are now behind us.  2009 is well on its way and the ever increasing urgency to reach everyone we can with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is before us!  2008 will forever be history and we cannot change it, we cannot add to it.  But the pages of 2009 are just being written.  

We want to encourage you in 2009 to live with eternity in mind, to press on, press forward, press towards the upward call of God in Christ Jesus with the prize of souls in your heart.  

WE MUST KEEP SOULS IN OUR GOALS!

“Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me. Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended it; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12-14

All the people you have helped us to reach, all of these lives eternally changed will forever give thanks to God on your behalf.  We need your help to reach our goal of One Million Bibles for One Million Souls!  The Good News is that God’s gift of salvation is free!  Your faithful, continued partnership will enable us to go forward!  Your gift of $25, $30, $50, $100 or more will do exceedingly great things as God blesses it for His eternal purposes.  In 2009 it is time to kick the devil’s behind and give God all the glory!

A Word For 2009 From David

God has spoken to me about 2009.  It is time to intensely live with eternity in mind.  The devil has been defeated by Jesus Christ through the cross of Calvary.  Jesus became the conqueror and He passed His victory onto us making us more than conquerors in Him.  It is time to leave the devil behind.  It is time to let go of those worldly things that are holding us back.  Things like bad attitudes or habits and events of the past that are hindering our Victorious Walk with Christ.  It is time to take our authority and power in Christ as His divine impartation, calling and positioning in His Mighty army.  It is time to continue to strengthen ourselves in the Word and Spirit more than ever, rising up and increasing the fight of faith.  

So many souls are still lost.  So many people are still without Christ.  So many lives are still trapped in sin, battered and beaten by the god of this world.  We have the answer!  We have the spiritual weapons to fight for their salvation and freedom.  We have the backing of the entire Kingdom of God in order to kick the devil’s behind and command him to leave our family, finances, future and friends alone. We must allow God to increase in our lives. 

The enemy knows that we have declared war.  The battle for the eternity of souls has intensified.  We must, in 2009, make effective plans to maximize our efforts, energy, strategies and finances.  We must pray and fast more effectively both individually and corporately.

I believe God will do more in us and through us than ever before as we constantly keep eternity in mind in 2009.

We are praying regularly for you here at VCH.  You are consistently in our thoughts and prayers.  We are praying for divine impartation to you in 2009 that God’s revelation will daily guide you in every decision that you make and in every direction that you take.

Thank you again for your faithful support.  We look forward to your continued partnership as together we will do great exploits for the Kingdom of God in 2009!
