WHO ARE WE?
Victorious Christian Harvesters is a Latin American Ministry with a focus to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ world-wide. Founded in April of 1992 by David and Donna Blanchard, VCH celebrated its 25th anniversary in February 2017. The U.S. offices are located in Laredo, Texas and the International offices are across the border in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The International Harvesters Institute began in September of 2001. This evangelistic, ministerial training center is in its 15th year of training nationals to become dynamic and effective ministers. VCH has a five-fold strategy pursuing the God-given vision of One Million Bibles/One Million Souls.
The Vision That Started VCH
David Blanchard, president and founder of VCH, received a vision from the Lord while in a prayer meeting in 1990. He saw the country of Mexico covered with ocean waves. When the waves receded, they left big black Bibles with gold crosses on them. In this vision, God spoke to David telling him to get His Word out “for it will not return to Me empty or void without accomplishing what I’ve sent it forth to do.”
“How many BIBLES do you want me to get out, Lord?” David asked.
“How many SOULS do you want to see saved?” was God’s reply.
David answered, “The whole nation of Mexico!”
“Me too,” said God, “But how many souls do you want to be responsible for?”
“I’m not Dr. Billy Graham nor Dr. T.L. Osborn,” David said, “I’m just me. But I want to see a million souls come to know You.”
“Then,” God commissioned David, “Get One Million BIBLES for One Million SOULS .”
Thus the vision for Victorious Christian Harvesters was born – One Million Bibles/One Million Souls. With this vision VCH began ministering 22 years ago and continues to do so today with more passion than ever. Since we began to train and make disciples through the International Harvesters Institute, we have sent more harvesters into the field to help fulfill the vision. God is causing our efforts to be successful and we are grateful to be a part of His master plan. We are trusting God to use VCH as a unique instrument to fulfill the great commission of Jesus Christ by planting His Word in lost souls and harvesting lives for an eternity.
For the glory of God and with the vital support of its partners, VCH has seen this vision completed in August 2016. More than one million souls have come to know Jesus Christ through the evangelism of VCH, and more than one million Bibles, New Testaments and Gospel Booklets have been given to these new believers and to the national church evangelism teams who are regularly sharing the Gospel! We continue to share the gospel, equip the national people, and train new Harvesters so that the Kingdom of Heaven may be even more established here on Earth.
This ministry accepts the scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all sufficient rule of faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity, adopts these statements of fundamental Truths and Doctrine.
1. The Scriptures Inspired.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct, and is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason. (2Tim 3:15-17; 1Pet 1:23-25; Heb 4:12)
2. The one True Godhead.
The Triune Godhead is comprised of three separate and distinct personalities – The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit – who are eternally self-existent, self-revealed and function as one entity. Jesus Christ, who is God manifested in the flesh, is the second member of the Godhead, co-equal and co-eternal with The Father and The Holy Spirit.
3. Man, His Fall and Redemption.
Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our Likeness.” But man, by voluntary transgression, fell and his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the Son of God. (Gen 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Rom 5:12-21)
4. The Salvation of Man.
- Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind (1 Pet 2:24). We are justified freely by His Grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. For by grace we are saved through faith. ” The Word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart-that is, the Word of faith which we are preaching; if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.” (Rom 3:24; Eph 2:8; Rom 10:8-10)
- The evidences of Salvation. The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit (Romans 8:16). The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness. ”And this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.” (1John 3:23)
- Faith and Works. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ not by human works; however, our works will determine the rewards in eternity. (Rom 10:9-10; Eph 2:8-9; Tit 3:5-7; Rom 14:20-21; 2Cor 5:10)
5. Baptism in Water.
The ordinance of baptism as a symbolic burial with Christ should be observed as commanded in the Scriptures by all who have truly repented and in their hearts have truly believed on Christ as Savior and Lord. In so doing, they declare to the world that they have died with Jesus and that they have also been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47, 48; Romans 6:4).
6. The Lord’s Supper.
”And when He had given thanks, He broke it, and said, ‘This is my body which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.’” Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. (1Cor 11:24,25,28)
7. The Promise of the Father.
All believers are entitled to, and should ardently expect and earnestly seek, the promise of the Father, the Baptism in the Holy Ghost and Fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was the normal experience of all the early Christian church. With it comes the endowment of power for life and service, the bestowment of the gifts, and their uses in the work of the ministry. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 1Cor. 12:1-31)
8. The evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The full consummation of the baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is evidenced by a subsequent manifestation of spiritual power in public witness, testimony and service. There may also be several other evidences of the baptism – one of which is speaking with other languages/tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:2,6; 1:8).
9. The Church.
The Church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission. Each believer born of the Spirit is an integral part of the general assembly and church of the first born, which are written in Heaven. (Eph 1:22; 2:19-2; Heb 12:23)
10. Total Biblical Prosperity. (Psalm 1:1-3)
- Spiritual. (John 3:3,11; 2Cor 5:17-21; Rom 10:9-10)
- Mental. (2Tim 1:7; Rom 12:2; Is 26:3)
- Physical. (Is 53:4-5; Matt 8:17; 1Pet 2:24)
- Financial. (3John 1:2; Mal 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; 2Cor 9:6-10; Deut 28:1-14)
- Social. (Prov 3:4)
11. Blessed Hope.
Jesus is coming again to gather all His Saints to Heaven. (1Cor 15:51-52; 1Thes 4:16-17; 2Thes 2:1)
12. The Lake of Fire.
Those who have not accepted the redemptive work of Jesus Christ will suffer eternal separation from the Godhead. The devil and his angels, the beast and the false prophet, and anyone whose name was not found written in the book of life, shall be consigned to everlasting punishment in the lake of fire which burns with brimstone. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (Rev 19:20; 20:10-15)
13. The Millennial Reign of Jesus.
Return of our Lord Jesus with His Saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousands years on earth as the scriptures promised. (Rom 11:25-27; 2Thes 1:7; Rev 19:11-16; 20:1-7) After this, there shall be a new heaven and a new earth. (Rev 21)
